PCA Skin offers a variety of professional peel formulations that can be customized for concerns such as acne, uneven pigmentation, sun damage, texture and visible signs of aging.
Treatment intensity can vary. Some chemical peels may cause little visible flaking, while more intensive treatments may result in noticeable peeling or shedding. The amount of visible peeling is not necessarily an indication of how effective a treatment is.
Our goal is to choose an appropriate treatment for
your skin rather than simply selecting the strongest peel available.
4% & 6% Pure Retinol Peel Options
For guests who may benefit from a more intensive resurfacing treatment, we also offer professional 4% and 6% Pure Retinol Peel options.
These advanced retinol treatments may be recommended to address concerns such as uneven pigmentation, visible sun damage, rough texture, acne-related concerns and signs of skin aging.
The 4% and 6% treatments are not interchangeable. The appropriate option depends on your skin, previous treatments, tolerance, concerns and desired level of correction. More intensive retinol treatments may also involve greater visible peeling and downtime.
During your skin consultation, we'll determine whether a traditional customized chemical peel, a professional retinol peel or another treatment is the most appropriate choice for your skin.

Will my skin actually peel or shed after a PCA Chemical Peel?
It depends on the treatment. Not every chemical peel causes visible peeling, and the amount of peeling does not necessarily determine how effective the treatment is. Some customized PCA Skin® peels may cause little to no visible flaking, while more intensive treatments—including our 4% and 6% Pure Retinol Peel options—may result in noticeable peeling or shedding for several days.
During your consultation, we’ll recommend the appropriate peel based on your skin, concerns, treatment history and desired level of correction, and we’ll review what you can expect during recovery.
How long does a chemical peel session take, and does it hurt?
The treatment is quick, highly comfortable, and takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes. You may feel a warm, minor tingling sensation for a few moments, which immediately subsides as our master estheticians apply soothing, protective post-treatment antioxidants.
Can I wear makeup or go back to work immediately after?
Absolutely. Because there is no social downtime, you can return to your normal daily activities right away. We simply ask that you skip heavy makeup for the rest of the day and stay committed to a professional mineral SPF to protect your freshly revealed glow.
